Standard Bank Insurance is terrible to deal with

I had a household insurance policy with Standard Bank from 2014. During my cover period I did not submit a single claim. The power station in my area burned down and this affected my washing machine. I called Standard bank insurance to submit a claim. An assessor was send out who confirmed the damage and I’m informed me that the motor was damaged by power surge. After the assessor left the water would not stop running from my machine and I immediately called Standard Bank to inform them about the issue. A consultant said that he will make a note on the claim and send the assessor back. I am still waiting!!! Standard bank rejected my claim as they don’t cover power surge. I accepted the outcome and got a second opinion from another service provider. According to the second service provider the drum is damaged as well as the motor. Their assessor caused further damage to my washing machine and they accepted no accountability🤢I have cancelled all my policie with Standard Babk and will change my bank to🤢🤢🤢
