Standard Bank Insurance flunk

What a bummer. Standard bank insurance dont deliver. We had severe cracks appearing at our house from the doorframes to the ceiling. We requered a engineer certificate for the house for submission to the town counsil for plans approval Te engineer requested us to have the cracks fixed before we could have the certificate. We requested std insurance to send a assassor for our claim. CLA &Associates send a person to assess. By the way NOT a civil engineer and from JHB not even close to our town to assess my house. So MY insurance that I pay decide who THEY want to send and MY insurance pay THE ASSESSOR not a qualified civil engineer travel money to assess my house. Are there no qualified assessors (civil engineers)in Middelburg ????. Now my claim was rejected because a "CIVIL ENGINEER". Whom never seen my house decided not to approve my claim on the insurance that I pay. Come on really. I think its time we stand up and request more qualified and in our own town people to do our claims. Now this person rejected my claim to say its wear and tear while the actual engineer issueing the certificate said its cracks forming due to structural problems due to the fact that there was no lyntels build in to the struckture. And Ihave pictures to proof it.

Thank you so much. I also want to know why if we want to use someone from our own community to solve the issue of complaint, why we must pay them and then claim from the insurance just to have the claim rejected. As we experience currently. We dont abuse our insurance and have never ever claimed for anything but geysers on our house. We are not the only customers experiencing this issue. They ask us to give feedback on service. I dont, simply as its not someone from our town and is not known in the area. Why must my assurance pay a plummer travel money for travelling 30km to fix my geyser. Why must my insurance pay a assessor from JHB travel money for 200km to be here 10 min to assess my property once. I ask this for a lot of customers. Save on my insurance by using the right people in the right area. And dont tell me its the system, hahahaha. There is a person working the system.
