Standard Bank Insurance flouts the law and disregards customers rights -

Standard Bank Insurance has ********ly generated a home owners policy in my name and is debiting my account despite confirmation from myself on the quote, my bond attorney (who furnished proof of insurance when finalising the bond process) and myself again telephonically two weeks before transfer happened.

when i phoned in to report this i was told i must cancel going forward which is ******** as i have not mandated Standard Bank and no policy should be in existence.

when trying to resolve it i get told the turn around time for disputes is 15 working days and will sit on the phone for 15 minutes before the call is dropped.

i would recommend that anyone interested in using this insurance provider thinks again. if they are so comfortable flouting the law and the FAIS and TCF requirements incumbent on them it requires that a negative inference be drawn against them in their entirety.

Very dissatisfied "customer" who is not actually a customer but who is being treated ********ly and with no due regard.
