Standard Bank Insurance double standards

I had a revolving credit account with credit cover prior to increasing the amount a few days ago in branch at Langebaan. I noticed that my credit cover was removed and queried this. However after the lady assisting me phoned the relevant department whom informed her that credit cover is up to age seventy. I was given a letter to sign reinstating credit cover. However after receiving the contract at branch the following day I noticed that credit was excluded. I again queried this at the branch and numerous telephone calls to standard bank but still I was not assisted. The money was paid into my account notwithstanding my dissatisfaction with the understanding that it would be corrected. Two days on and few telephone calls to standard bank today still no resolve. It would appear that there exists a lack of training as policy differs from branch to branch at standard bank

We are now at 11 November and I am still nowhere in resolving this matter with Standard Bank notwithstanding my numerous visits to Langebaan branch and telephone calls to standard bank. My next step now is approaching the Banking Ombudsman for a resolution

It’s an absolute disgrace just how Standard Bank treat their clients. Having been a client for over forty years I am struggling to have a matter resolved of which I complained about since thirty October 2024. I have been into Tygervalley Parow Centre and Langebaan and each one operates differently. Langebaan being my home branch also makes promises but still has not resolved my problem. It’s disgusting.

I have been struggling with this bank now since 30 October to have my debt insurance reinstated. I have called customer care been to three branches been on hello Peter but to no avail. This leads me to believe that either SB doesn’t want to help SB doesn’t know how to help SB lacks inservice training for staff or SB is simply hopeless. This I came to realise forty years being a client
