Standard Bank Insurance
Standard Bank Home Loan does not cover any electrical appliance. You need to change insurance immediately. I have had cover with them for years and they did not cover my inverter and batteries. They say it is on their terms and conditions. If I knew that I would have gone elsewhere. Even if it is there the point is that it is nit covered. For the same money it is covered elsewhere. I can only advise that you move your insurance immediately to Outsurance or Santam. Do it now or pay the price. They also do not get back to you. Move and MOVE NOW if you want cover.

They could easily have called and identified the issue. Its easier to hide behind statements and the call centre than to deal with a problem. You are not covered. Move NOW. Santam seems the best option. They been assigning someone for weeks now. Move NOW or pay the price.

08 Feb 2023, 17:45Standard Bank did not assigned anybody to the case for ages. But they were able to close the case without any investigation and copied the ombudsman in. So I sent the Ombudsman a copy of the information.
Std Bank have now said they are out and I must deal with the Ombudsman directly.
YOU COPIED THE OMBUDSMAN IN. THE OMBUDSMAN SENT THE INQUIRY TO ME. AND NOW AS IF YOU ARE HARD DONE BY YOU INFORM ME TO DEAL DIRECT AS I CONTACTED THEM.
When it comes to customer service Std Bank is at the bottom of the pile. They are so big nothing can be done and we must put up with their poor communication.
A pleasant phone call to a long standing client would of explained everything instead of a terse email from Terral Kirsten, who has no telephone number.
