Standard Bank Insurance are ********

We bought our dream home in 2016, after a few months the dream house started cracking. We tried to cover up the cracks with plastering materials and paint, shortly thereafter we faced with the same cracks. In January 2017, we contacted Standard Bank insurance. They then sent out a gentleman to take photots of the damages, but then his cellphone battery was low and was unable to continue with his task, unprofessional. He advised that he will send out a pool company to access the cracks and a engineer. At this stage we've already spent more than 100k, continuously filling up the pool that was cracked aswell. Tiling and trying make the our house livable. The pool company advised that we not covered for pool cracks, we accepted this because we asked our legal team to read through the document. Few weeks past then we received a sms that the contractors/ engineers will shortly visit our property for inspection. They never arrived, its 2019 and the damages are so much worst than before. According to their rejection letter that we received last week after nagging them for 2 years. The report states our cracks was due to a mini earthquake, funny part about this statement is that no one in the neighborhood experienced this. Also, there was no weather reports to back this ridiculous statement. Standard bank is a bunch of ******. I asked them for the name of the engineer that arrived at the property and the claims form, they unable to provide this. I'm disgusted and disappointed with the treatment that we are receiving from Standard Helderberg Somerset West.Our banker is never available and the branch manager is extremely unprofessional, promising to provide feedback. All they want is your money and NO service. I asked the bank manger to close our current accounts, nothing has been actioned.Bhongo made several promises to us and we still waiting on him to return our calls.
