Standard bank Insurance

In June 2023 we had major storm damage and (among other things) our bank collapsed. The floods came through the house and caused a lot of damage inside and outside the property. I reported the damages the next morning. We are now in June 2024 and NOTHING HAS BEEN DONE!!!!! I phone on a regular basis for updates, and there is always an excuse..."oh, we are waiting for the engineer's report", which incidentally was sent to them the same day that he came out. Or "we are still waiting for some quotes" or "we are waiting for the assessor's report". (There is nothing outstanding) Totally unacceptable!!!! When I phone in to find out about progress, I get cut off, because they put me on hold while they read through pages and pages. Then I have to phone in again...and guess what?..I can't speak to the same person, so I have to go through the whole process again! THIS IS NOW ONE YEAR, and I'm still waiting... We've had more rains since June 2023, so the damage to my property is just getting worse. This has quite honestly been the ABSOLUTE WORST experience. Shocking service, to say the least. I would NEVER recommend Std Insurance to anyone.
