Standard Bank INsrance - Simpler Better Faster way to loose everything

Worst insurance ever. We have a Butchery and we took out Business insurance with Standard Bank at new market mall. Their Business Banker did the risk assessment and marked on their insurance form we need option 6. So upon her PROFESSIONAL opinion we opted for the option she chose for us. On 14 December we reported to them that our fridges have been hit by lightning (we are a business) they only gave is a claim number on 3 January 2019. We delealt with 3 people we phoned to gollow up on the matter every time. They recom that they are paying the fridges not the meat. They keep on saying that they are not paying detwriorated stock but the stock was damaged as a result of the compressors being struck by lightning. We told them all the time that we do not know how this works as we have not claimed before. They NEVER once mentioned we are covered for forced closure, did not pay ot out, just kept quiet! They refuse to pay out our meat damaged in the event. Not once in ANY phone call (recorded calls) were we informed that if we are not happy with the AOL we must not sign. We asked to get the fridges repaired what do we do and we were told to sign the AOL. They know we have been struggeling since 14 December and they took advantage of us not knowing what to do. They ****med us oit of hindreds of thousands of rands. To date we have not had any letter from them comfirming why they rejected the meat claim or the loss of income, forced closure claim. On the AOL we clearly wrote that we accept the AOL for the fridge repairs only and will refer the matter to the ombudsman, should a legal document not be signed by both parties?????? They are the worst bank. Simpler Better and Faster helping you to your knees. I suggest busnisses that you seek other insurance.
