Standard Bank - Household Insurance - DAMP DAMAGE

So let's see if Standard Bank will come to the party now because being nice does not work in South Africa anymore. Hence our country is the way it is.

We bought a house almost 5 years ago and got a home loan from them including household insurance. Thank you Standard Bank for the assistance regarding that.

We have been trying for over a year now to get help from them. When we purchased the property the DAMP DAMAGE was hidden away from us with a fresh coat of paint. Clever, very clever!!!! Wish we could attach the pictures to show you. Now, we all know you not allowed to sell property if any kind of damage occurred and not tell the new buyers ***ners) as it has to be fixed before occupation.

It is so bad that our 4 year old son can't sleep in his own bedroom. Now, the inspector from Standard bank was supposed to pick it up when the OTP was signed and the property handed over to us. Makes you think, doesn't it?

Now, they have sent out people to come and assess the damage and no response. Nothing. SO WHAT DO WE DO??? It is frustrating!!!

All we want is the damage to be fixed or send us in the right direction to get it sorted.
