Standard Bank Home Owners Insurance disaster

I've had a Standard Bank Home Owners Insurance for 20 years, and have hardly claimed. Recently when their was illiegal underground blasting in our area, it was so severe that the mirror in the main bathroom (which had just been renovated) fell down after cracking and broke. Unfortunately damaging the new double vanity basins. Standard bank insurance refuse to do the repairs because it was classed as explosions. What will happen when this blasting start damaging the homes in a much more serious fashion? Do they just not pay? Now we must repair at our own cost. Something must be done about this but no-one is interested.

I am moving my home owners insurance to a more suitable company. Standard Bank have made over R1000 from me for 20 years on this and they won't pay R10k or so to do the repairs. I don't know if it will help going to the Ombudsman - he must be inundated with claims already.
