Standard Bank Home insurance is dreadful

Standard Bank Home Insurance must be the most *********** insurer in the country.

10 days ago, i lodged a claim. Due to the storm tiles shifted on the roof and water poured in and damaged the ceiling. A branch also fell on the electric fence, damaging it.

Within 4 days the ceiling was sorted out, but the house was left a mess and I had to get cleaners in to sort out the dust. So far so good.

The electric fence, is still not done. 3 "contractors" later and 5 phone calls to the call center begging them to sort it out. My problem is quite simple as the electric fence is damaged I can not arm the alarm, should anything happen at the house, I'm sure my house holders policy will say the alarm was not on and repudiate the claim.

I am so so frustrated.
