Standard Bank Funeral Policy

My brother worked for Standard Bank his whole life until he was retrenched - after the retrenchment he still had his bank account with them, he had a funeral policy with them, for which he paid R200- per month up until his death of Covid in July this year. Imagine my horror when contacting them I was told they would only pay out R10000- - this does not cover even the cheapest funeral available, so us, his siblings had to pay the shortfall. I then decided to investigate and requested funeral cover from STD Bank - just for myself and only funeral cover to the value of R50 000- the quote I was given was R151- per month R50- less than my brother was paying - how can this be right!!!
