Standard bank excuses before you submit the claim

Two years ago we had a huge hail storm that knocked parts of my roof off and caused major damage to my house. From R26000 claim excluding appliances, Standard bank only paid out R6000. Last week I tried to submit a claim for my garage door motor, after several attempts to get hold of an agent, they immediately start with their excuse list before I even explain the problem. Further they can only send out a accessor 3 days later and my excess would be R1250 of the claim is approved. This is an emergency situation and the quotes I got for the repair is only R1100. The installer came out within 1 hour and fixed my door. Standard bank insurance has again proofed that you can not really on them and should something serious would have had to happen, me and my family would be left stranded. I will be moving my insurance to a more competent insurer.
