Standard Bank Excel in poor services
I am writing to formally lodge a complaint regarding the unacceptable service I have received from Standard Bank concerning my late husband’s financed vehicle.
My husband passed away in 2020. After his burial, I approached Standard Bank to resolve the outstanding finance on his vehicle. The process was extremely difficult and emotionally draining, requiring me to fight at every step. Eventually, I managed to settle the account in full and was issued with the necessary settlement and vehicle papers.
Unfortunately, I later misplaced these documents. I then app**** for duplicate documents and paid the required fee of R900.00. It has now been almost three months, and despite numerous follow-ups, I have still not received the documents or any clear and valid information regarding the delay.
I am deeply disappointed by the poor service and lack of communication from a private institution of this stature. This prolonged process has caused me unnecessary stress and emotional strain. It is particularly painful and unhealthy to repeatedly explain and request documents related to someone who is no longer alive, and this ongoing situation is negatively affecting my health.
I urgently require these documents in order to sell the vehicle, and the continued delay is causing me financial and emotional distress.
