SHOCKING LACK OF SERVICE IN ATTEMPT TO CANCEL HOMEOWNERS INSURANCE

Negative rating!!! I have been attempting to cancel my homeowners insurance telephonically and per email since 4th May 2022. This after cancellation on the app on 30th April was unsuccessful. The reason I want to cancel, is that their service when registering and following up on a claim was to a level I wouldn't expect of trained and paid staff. The response I received when complaining was "due to COVID" - even their claims process is sub-standard! This is not acceptable for an insurance company. Every time I send them yet more documentation requested, the return email states they have a turnaround time of 8 working days! Furthermore, per the email, only once they confirm cancellation, 30 days notice come into effect. Unacceptable. The number of emails and phone calls I have made, are numerous, and to date I still don't have confirmation that the cancellation has been accepted. I will never recommend Standard Bank Homeowners Insurance.
