Shocked that Standard Bank Home Insurance associates with ********* Service Providers

So after diligently paying home insurance premiums for 16 years I decide to use my Home assist function to deal with a broken dishwasher. I make the call on the 7th November and I'm promptly assisted. Classic Warehouse gets assigned to the case and promises to come out the same day(so far so good) However they pitch up with such a run down/unprofessional vehicle that it makes even my neighbour call me to find out if I'm being ******. The three "so called technicians" then proceed to examine the dishwasher to inform me an hour later the pump is too small and needs to be replaced. Even as a layman I know a massive company like LG would never make a product with a component too small for the appliance. (warning bells!!) The technician then goes outside to speak on the phone after which I'm contacted by someone from their office and told the cost to replace the pump would be R950. I discuss my concerns with my husband and we decide to first get a second opinion and to call them when we've decided. In the interim life happens (illness, kids etc) the dishwasher becomes my last priority and I only revisit the situation on the 9th February. I call out another technician for a second opinion since I'm still sceptical about the qualifications of the "so called technicians" Standard Bank had assigned. The second opinion then informs me firstly, my pump is MISSING and secondly, there is a leaking pipe which could have been the cause of the initial error message I was getting from the dishwasher. (this was proven to me by the LG help website) but We cannot ascertain because the pump is missing. I was also informed by the second opinion my pump could have been repaired or serviced for half the price. An option Classic Warehouse never presented to me. They just gave me the most expensive option. I felt betrayed. Since Classic warehouse is the only people who touched or worked on the machine, I call Classic warehouse to be told "were not open today" send an sms with your details and we will call you tomorrow" I do this, however tomorrow does not come. No call back, nothing I then send a reminder message and again I'm told we will call you tomorrow. 2 days after the initial call I get a call from Classic Warehouse to again ask for details after supplying thus I get told they will investigate and get back to me. This never happens. I give them a week, no call, no communication whatsoever. I then call Standard bank to submit a complaint. They take details and again I'm told the matter would be investigated and someone will get back to me. This also never happens. I patiently wait another week. Again no call back NOTHING!! So again I call standard bank to find out what is happening and a friendly gentleman calls me back to try and solve the problem. He at least dissipates my anger that's now building. He informs me Classic Warehouse had promised to contact me the previous week and to deliver the pump by the Friday that had passed. Classic Warehouse further claims that they had tried to contact me previously( lies I have a call log to prove otherwise) and would then call me the same day(Monday) to make arrangements, this doesn't happen either. Classic warehouse then calls me only the next day to say they would deliver the pump. I enquire whether it is indeed my original pump I'm told yes( admission that they had indeed removed my pump and taken it) only to be told a few seconds later it can only be delivered late afternoon as the technician needs to collect it from the supplier.( why does my pump that was taken from my machine need to be collected from a supplier????) I already know this delivery would not take place, but so as to not be at fault or the cause of not receiving my pump I wait. I wait like an idiot the whole day. Again nothing happens. This whole situation reeks of a con. Something taken off your property without your permission or knowledge in my book constitutes theft. Up until now I received no apology let alone an explanation why the pump was removed. I feel sick to my stomach that standard bank whom I trusted for 16 years would allow this to happen to me in my home. I feel sick that to add insult to injury I'm being **** to and taken for a fool. I've been extremely patient for what is carrying over to 3 weeks. I feel sick that no one seems to be noticing the seriousness of this incident. All I wanted was my pump so I could have someone qualified fix it. I no longer wish to deal with Classic warehouse their ethics are clearly questionable and with kids in my home their conduct scares and concerns me. I would rather they keep "MY PUMP" After this whole nauseating ordeal all I want is to change my insurance and warn other people so they don't face this same violation within their homes!!!
