SBIB car repairs - unable to book a rental vehicle

I have been trying to get my car repaired since before COVID.

The claim was finally approved and the car is scheduled to be booked in tomorrow (05-Juy).

My insurance includes a rental car while the repairs take place. I emailed SBIB a week ago to arrange the car rental for tomorrow. I was informed that I should call the call centre the day before to arrange the rental.

Why? Surely a rental can be booked a week in advance.

Anyway, I have been on hold with the call centre this morning for over 20 mins to arrange the car for tomorrow but I don't have high hopes that I will have a vehicle tomorrow.

Poor service SBIB.
