SBIB call centre does not call back and you hold on for almost an hour to speak to someone

11/12 Tornado hit Vaalmarina; Emergency Service was great. Loss Adjustor and contractor out first thing Tuesday 12/12. Emergency services done, but my back room's roof has been missing since 11/12. I've been calling SBIB holding on for almost an hour at a time for someone to answer the phone. When I do get through I deal with a different person every time. In every conversation I've mentioned that I don't have a roof on my back room, it's going to rain! The contractor came out again 19/12 for the ceiling. Called at 8am I was told that they're waiting for Management to authorise. When I called back at 10:30 I was told Management have been in meeting, they will authorised. Called back at 3:30 and was informed that they can't authorise repairs, because they're still waiting for the Loss Adjuster to provide quotations for the repairs that needs to be done.. According to the Loss Adjuster everything was handed in and there seems to be a bit of confusion. 100% Rain forecast for Friday. Still no roof on my back room? Surely this could have been authorised already, instead of my stuff having to be destroyed due to lack of service from SBIB? The one blames the other, whilst my stuff must be destroyed due to no emergency roof replacement done to my back room. I was informed by a consultant this afternoon that this all takes time, that I cannot expect everything to happen overnight. Let me see 11/12 tornado hits Vaalmarina; today 20/12 we're still waiting for repairs to be authorised. Surely SBIB could've authorised the roof to replaced on my back room? This is truly unacceptable and the worst service for Standard Bank Insurance Brokers to provide disaster struck people!
