REJECTED CLAIM WEAR AND TEAR UNDERGROUND

I recently logged a claim for storm damage for my boundary wall. Std bank sent out a plumber to assess damages caused by the storm. what qualifications does a plumber have with regards to building and foundations. The claim was rejected and the reason was wear and tear,what a joke . So i would like to know where is the wear and tear underground. I think the job would cost approx. R5000 but instead of honouring the claim they choose to send out a Plumber to do a builders job, never respond to my emails . So for R 5000 standard bank has just lost a customer.
