Premium vs Cover - STB is a joke in this field

Never purchase a house from Standard bank. As your insurance will never be able to cover any cost in the year 2022. The bank increase every year their insurance premier but they don't increase the cover amount.

I had a water burst. The water detection and the repairs cost R5200. The insurance doesn't even cover the leak detection cost. They only cover R3000 and then you have to pay an access fee of R1500. So basically they pay only R1500. What a laughable joke. The bank that phones every 3 months to find out about the services should start reading the Hello Peter comments and not waste time on calls and agents to find out how the service is rated. I would have given them a 0 I would., In 8 years I claim and the premium you pay versus the cover you get isn't even in comparison. If I look at the ABSA Bank insurance cover from what friends tell me., Rather purchase a house from them. You will get better insurance coverage than Standard bank. I will never purchase a house ever from this bank.
