Poorest service ever experienced from SBIB short term insurance

I requested for vehicle insurance on the 17th July 2018.Start date was the same,I requested that insurance documents be e-mailed to me same day.My request was accepted. It took standard bank 14 days to send the documents by e-mail,that was after three telephone reminder requests.

In that 14 days, they failed to send me contact details of operating vehicle inspection centre.I was sent to two different locations which had both moved business to an unknown new location.

I then realised that I'm dealing with a non responsive insurer, who will give me nightmares should I come across an incident giving rise to a claim.I then sent an email notifying them of my de vision to set aside the contract after having noted unfavourable/unfair clauses in the contract.

Need I say that they never bothered to contact me about my email for cancellation. They decided to ignore me whilst planning to debit my account for the next month.

I then decided to call them after sending two more reminders of my decision to cancel the contract. When they answered my call, they had not acted on my email requesting contract cancellation although they had acknowledged receipt(auto responses)

After notifying them that I Was following up on my email about cancellations, they say to me they WILL cancel my contract effective on the date I called. This was intentionally to debit my account for the second time.

Contract was cancelled, and they would call me back to tell me whether or not they would return my debited premium for July.

They proceeded to debit account for second time, then Shamiela sent me an email (stating that they would refund me for both premiums)after I sent a formal complaint on their website.

Today's date is the 21st August and they continue to hold my premiums, until I confirm in writing that I won't reverse the premiums debited. What load of *******,how possible is it to reverse premiums more than 7 and 30 days after transaction date.

What a disgrace.

It was great that Standard bank apologized for the inconvenience caused, however their insurance division SBIB went on to defend their actions and maintain they were not wrong even after debiting my account the 2nd month although they had received cancellation email well in advance( 3rd and the 6th of the month)
