Poor Services from Standard Bank Insurance - Claim not resolved from 2023 (15 months and counting)

Very disappointing service from Standard Bank Insurance!

My wife and I have been banking with Standard Bank for over 20 years, this is the reason we selected Standard Bank Insurance for our home insurance.

In November 2023, our home was severely damaged due to major hail storm in the Midrand area. Its now almost 16 months later and we are still addressing poor workmanship issues from the Standard Bank (SB) appointed contractors that have resulted in persistent roof leaks and further damages to our home. Furthermore, we have provided proof to Standard Bank that their last contractor acted *********ly by requesting us (the clients) to sign off on incomplete repairs so that they could get paid and further went on to insult me (messages forwarded to Standard Bank) - Appears that SB are silent on the matter with no action.

We have sent numerous emails to SB Insurance to revert back on a revised warranty period and to confirm the scope of the final repairs, we are still waiting for a reply. We would just like the claim to be finalized.

Its sad that as long standing clients to Standard Bank, we can never recommend the services of Standard Bank Insurance!
