POOR SERVICE WITH CLAIM PROCESS

In our area we had a major freak storm with extensive damages to roof, weather facing walls and inside living area in December of 2022. Our whole surrounding area where neighbors suffered severly also with almost complete loss of properties. We immediately let Standard Bank Insurance know with photos and the extent of Damage.

Standard Bank Insurance only rep**** 4 moths later (2 weeks ago to be exact) after we had already fixed most of the damaged areas out of our own pockets. Only to be advised by Standard Bank Insurance we have pre existing damage. Well of course if you want to send your assessors out 4 months later it would look like pre existing damage. And they declined our claim. Im not an expert builder. But I do pay my insurance premiums on time every month.

Absolutely terrible service and definitely terminating insurance immediately
