Poor Service
I recently published a review on Wesbank concerning their poor service. Thanks to Hellopeter that I was immediately contacted by Wesbank regarding the matter and would like to partially apologize to Wesbank for putting the entire blame on them whereas, they should share the blame together with Standard Bank Insurance.
On the 05th July 2021, account settlement quotation (R184 357. 59) was provided by Wesbank to Standard Bank Insurance and valid for 14 days.
On the 07th July 2021, Standard Bank Insurance paid a portion of the amount (R171 050.00) to Wesbank.
On receipt of the proof of payment, Wesbank had to contact me in terms of arranging the payment of the shortfall (R13 307.59)
On the 13 August 2021 at about 15h10 Wesbank contacted Standard Bank Insurance and "requested progress of the claim and if paid, kindly provide me with proof of payment."
Standard Bank Insurance consultant responded at 15h39 by saying that "Hi the vehicle is repaired"
Wesbank closed the matter from claims department and put it back to normal accounts.
The account started to reflect arrears and accumulated interests thereof, whereby, no communication was sent to me regarding this until I became aware of the arrears this September 2022 when I was making follow ups.
As the result, the account is now standing at about R72,840.52 arrears due to the payment only reflecting into the account on the 12 October 2022 after my intervention, instead of R13 307.59 and to add salt into the wound, my credit score has been severely affected.
I therefore submit that Standard Bank Insurance carries all the outstanding arrears due to their misleading information and clear my name on the ITC.
Wesbank is claiming that since my portion was not paid within their 14days period, the amount went back to the original amount of about R250k and I'm liable for the difference.
I tried on several occasions to demonstrate their fault of not assigning an official to assist with payment arrangements for the R14k but it falls on deaf ears.
They have tried to collect through different collection agents but I still believe I'm being victimized for their fault and I in no way will pay the said R75k.
It has come apparentl to me that both Standard Bank and Wesbank are trying by all means to not account for the blunder caused.
I require full investigation so that justice is served.
