PATHETIC SERVICE FROM STANDARD BANK

In August I personally went into the Standard bank branch and logged a complaint for all my laminated flooring which was installed at my own cost, was lifting up from the floors and that my bathroom and kitchen tiles are busy cracking due to the dampness present in the foundation of the house. The contractor for Standard bank in Kimberley came to my house and assessed the damage. A few days later the contractors secretary phoned me and notified me that Standard bank rejected the claim. She could not supply me with a reason as to why the claim was rejected. The following week a consultant from standard bank phoned me and wanted to explain why the claim was not paid.I politely asked her to mail me the claims outcome and the assessors report as I wanted to rrad it myself. The only documents Standard bank mailed to me was the homeowners certificate of insurance,no report dealongg with the reasons why they rejected the claim. This is not the first time Standard bank refused a claim. In 2018 two years after they sold the house to me the roof was leaking and they also refused to pay.I had to expose their poor service on the Hellopeter because their answer to the roof episode was that it was not maintained.Just imagine that a roof can deteriorate in such short period of time. Now six years later there are dampness underneath the house as my laminated and tiled floors are proof off.In 2018-09-21 when Standard bank sold the house to me they were full of promises that the house is in a proper state and can be used as a dwelling for people to reside in. One room I already fixed on my own expenses, and wooden tiles beneath the laminated flooring is full of mould and all of them is loose, even the tar they used years ago as glue is.You can literally smell the dampness in the rooms now that the blocks are removed. One week after not approving my claim, the bank increased my monthly insurance premie. Standard bank are the worst bank to use for insurance purposes. They deduct their premier every month, but when you want to claim they refuse to pay.A big problem(DAMP UNDER THE FOUNDATION) THAT THE ASSESSOR SHOULD HAVE PICKED UP ,IS NOW MY PROBLEM.
