NO REGARD FOR CLIENT CARE SERVICES!!!!!

STANDARD BANK Home Loans( building Insurance) is a ****!!!!! I would like to express my dissatisfaction and frustration with the horrible service and unfair treatment i have received from STANDARD BANK regarding my claim for the residential borehole which was not working over the December 13th long weekend.

I called the emergency line and registered a claim with one of the consultants and due to the long weeked and unavailability of the service provider mainly (BOREWOLE SPECIALIST). I was advised by the bank consultant who registered my claim to hire a contractor that to come onsite and ensure that I have water during the long weekend and i did as advised. I AM NOW TOLD THAT THERE IS NO INSURED EVENT, HENCE THE BANK IS REFUSING TO PAY FOR THE EMERGENCY REPAIRS AS ADVISED.

TO MY SURPRISE I HAVE BEEN EXPERIENCE THE SAME ISSUE AND IT IS NOT THE FIRST TIME THAT I AM CLAIMING AND NOW I AM BEING TOLD THAT I AM NOT INSURED FOR THE ELECTRIC FAILURE ON MY BOREHOLE, WHAT EXACTLY AM I PAYING FOR THIS PATHETIC SERVICE.

HOW DO I CONTINUE PAYING AN INSURANCE THAT WILL TELL ME OF THE WEAR AND TEAR AND I DID DO MAINTENANCE ON MY BOREHOLE LAST YEAR 2023 OCTOBER.

She further reiterated that there is an Emergiency fund with a limit of R2000 AND NOW THEY ARE REFUSING TO PAY THE CONTRACTOR AS PROMISED.

On the 7th Jan 2025 i called the bank to find out how far they are with the investigation regarding my claim and they put me on the line for close to an hour with no tangible solution to my enquery.

ON THE 20TH JANUARY 2025, I RECEIVED A CALL FROM THE COMPLAINTS DEPARTMENT AND I WAS TOLD THAT THE CLAIM WILL BE CLOSED BECAUSE THERE IS NO INSURED EVENT AND I AM NOW RESPONSIBLE TO PAY R2000 TO THE SERVICE PROVIDER THAT I DID NOT ANTICIPATE TO PAY YET AT THE END OF THE MONTH THE INSURANCE MONEY WILL BE DEDUCTED FROM MY ACCOUNT.

I am paying Standard bank building insurance on a monthly basis WITHOUT FAIL but each time I need their services I am taken for a ride and this is totally pathetic and unacceptable and a poor service rendering to me as a loyal client of over 15 years.

You may get a cheaper interest rate when yu take the bond with THIS PATHETIC AND *****ED bank but the services are very bad!!!!!!

BE CAREFUL WHEN YOU BUYING A HOUSE AND TAKING THIS BANKS INSURANCE IS TOTALLY RIDICULOUS.
