No excess refund received
<p>One year ago I was in a car accident, a policecar drove into the back of my car. It was fixed and I had to pay the excess fee of R2000.00 to the panelbeaters. Was I not supposed to get the excess back again as a refund? The accident was not my fault</p>
Thank you Samantha Ramisur rep**** to me today she said: "I have followed up with our recoveries department. They have confirmed that they have tried to contact the third party and have not managed to with the details on ITC. Recoveries then referred the matter to attorneys to recover the excess however they have closed the matter as it is uneconomical To proceed with litigation. Although we at your insure will try to recover the excess it is not our liability to obtain it. You may proceed at your own capacity to recover the excess in small claims court. Alternatively if you do manage to contact the third party you could let us know and we may assist to recover once again". - I am sorry I find this totally unacceptable and ridiculous. Every month Standard Bank is more than eager to take a premium from my bank account, in exchange for that I expect a service. A full year after my accident, for which i was NOT responsible. It is Standard Bank's responsibility to do their part, and refund me my excess that I paid. If the people at Standard Bank are not able to do their job, I am sorry, that is not my problem. YOU as my INSURANCE COMPANY WILL REFUND my excess to ME. I don't care how you do it, just perform the service I pay you for. NO EXCUSES please. If you want me to get the excess payment myself, and do YOUR JOB FOR YOU, Standard Bank better start paying me a salary. I WILL NOT leave the matter here.
