No authorisation of claim for almost 2 months
Hi,
pls note that i have lodged a claim for fridge freezer contents on the 30/03/2021. I have provided all the necessary documentation of calls logged with City power on twitter and their mobi site stating of the power outages. i have also forwarded documentation of my previous insurance history for no claims letter and history. it is now almost 2 months and Std bank is advising me that i need to provide proof there was a power outage( go figure as i forwarded my communication to the city power for this). i have been pushed from pillar to post with this claim and only get feedback when i call in and this is when they state they are awaiting documentation from me. how am i to know i need to provide documentation if they do not communicate with me. each time i call in there is a different request. i have sent numerous emails to the complaints department, manager, team leader, call centre, but still no response. i can only imagine what would happen god forbid i meet with an accident. i guess i would need to repair my own car before getting authorisation from std bank. also imagine what other clients are going through. Std bank you are very unprofessional and to think you have an insurance license to practice short term and long term insurance is very scary. pls note that i will be looking for an alternative insurance provider and will be looking to move my other products from you guys. i am also in the process with OMBUDSMAN in this matter.
