Kitchen Disaster

<p>It it now four and a half years since the kitchen in my house was damaged during a storm.</p> <p>The contractor that Standard Insurance appointed was useless. </p> <p>I chased them offsite after their first attempt at replacing the damaged units.</p> <p>Standard Insurance insisted that I allow them back on site to correct the situation.</p> <p>I did this, 5 or 6 times.</p> <p>Kitchen was and is still a disaster.</p> <p>Units are out of square, doors are falling off because of hinges being reinstalled over and over on the same panel and the holes are now breaking in yo each other.</p> <p>Contractor did nothing to sort out the problems, but at every turn tried to hide them/</p> <p>I have had a number of meetings with Standard Insurance and the contractor, but the problem still has not been resolved.</p> <p>At this stage I cannot even get Standard Insurance to reply to my mails.</p> <p>Also the contractor has been paid for repairs, without me signing the paperwork to authorise it.</p>
