Insurance claim rejected on Brand New House

I lodged a claim for my leaking roof on 6 December 2019. Mark from The Roofing Specialist was sent to my property to inspect the roof. Upon his arrival he informed me that he cannot work on a Chromadek roof (which my house had). He however, continued to inspect the roof and wrote a report to Standard Bank Insurance claiming that no maintenance was done on the roof. My problem with his report is 1. He told me that he doesnt work on this type of roof 2. The building structure is 1year and 4months old as we build the house mid 2018.

Standard Bank rejected my claim, stating that it is normal wear and tear and we as the owners should have done maintenance on a roof that is 1year and 4 months old.

I will be cancelling my policy with Standard Bank as there is no way roof maintenance should be done yearly on a brand new house
