I'd give minus stars if I could

In all my years, Standard Bank Insurance has to be the worst company I've ever had the displeasure of dealing with. We reported a leak at our property three weeks ago. We explained how we had dug up all the pipes we had access to. We put stop ****s wherever we could to try and narrow it down. Three local plumbers said we needed gas detection to find the leak, which must be in the walls or foundations. This was explained ad nauseam to every consultant we have spoken to. We must have phoned more than ten times. Each of those calls has taken in the region of half an hour. All of the plumbing work so far, we have paid for ourselves. Initially, they said they would send someone around with the necessary equipment to find the leak. A week passed, and we heard nothing. We called multiple times, and were told that a plumbef was coming. Another week, with no calls and no plumbers. We called yet again, and were told Standard Bank has no authorised providers in the area who can do this. We were then told to do their job for them, and find someone ourselves, who could do it. We managed to find one company in the area (and by that I mean 1.5 hours away) and we got a quote from them to come with the gas detection to find the leak, and sent it to Standard Bank for approval. More time passed, nothing from Standard Bank. Last week, after another 15 minute hold and 15 minute conversation, we were told, oh no, they can’t approve the quote, because the quote does not say where the leak is, or what it will cost to fix. We have explained multiple times and had multiple conversations about the fact that they need to first come with the right equipment, so they can find the leak. I am absolutely flabbergasted at the incompetence, lack of action, and communication. It gets better. They then said they can’t approve the quote because there’s only ONE. Even Standard Bank doesn’t have providers in the area. We managed to find ONE company that does this. They then assured us this would be expedited and we’d hear within 24 hours. Unsurprisingly, we heard nothing, until this morning, when I get yet another mail, from yet another customer service agent who hasn't bothered to read the communications, asking for a full quote on what it will cost to fix. They have yet to even approve the quote to come and establish where the leak is. Honestly, avoid this company at all costs, they are the absolute bottom of the barrel. It has been three weeks, where we have water leaking. God knows what my water bill is going to look like. Three weeks of multiple calls, but only a ‘don’t give a damn’ attitude from Standard Bank Insurance. We live in an area experiencing a water crisis, yet it seems as if they just don’t give a damn. I’ve never experienced such ineptitude and poor customer service, avoid at all costs. They take your premiums, but are not interested in providing the service you pay for.
