HORRIBLE ATTITUDE and not willing to assist at all!

<p>I lodged a claim with Standard Bank Insurance Brokers on the 21st of Feb after one of the Joburg storms hit us and damaged our roof and it started leaking inside, a few days later an assessor came out and literally looked and took photos of the ceiling and roof without looking in or on the roof at the full extent of the damage.</p> <p> </p> <p>After not hearing a word for about 3 weeks I had to call Standard Bank Insurance Brokers to follow up, the lady told me the claim was approved to have the ceiling fixed and they would pay me and I would have to find my own contractor to fix it and I would need to sign a waiver to say if there is any other damage they not liable for additional claims, I told the lady that I wasn’t happy with that as they didn’t assess the full extent of the damage so I can’t sign the waiver, I consulted with my husband and he confirmed the assessor didn’t assess in side or on top of the roof, I mailed them on the 10th of March to say we not happy and they would have to assess it properly!</p> <p> </p> <p>Needless to say I never got a response, I called again now and they said to me, if I’m not satisfied with the report from the assessor, I need to pay to have my own assessment done, I told the consultant that this is nonsense as the assessor didn’t actually assess the damage, he said well if I don’t like it lodge a complaint, no willingness to assist or reassess the situation, just palm it off to another department, absolutely disgusting attitude.</p> <p> </p> <p>I called to lodge the complaint and essentially, she was like all I do is record the complaint, and it could 10 days before I get a response, MORTIFIED, lodged the claim a month ago, now I must wait another 10 days to get a response!</p> <p> </p> <p>Companies like this will happily take my money every month but when it comes to actually delivering a service, that’s non-existent, don’t know if Standard Bank Insurance Brokers know this but I actually pay for you to provide insurance, not tell me if I don’t like it well tough!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!</p>
