Half-job done for repairs.

We lodged a claim for a leaking water pipe.<br> The plumbers came out, broke up about a 30cm x 80cm cement layer, dug down about 30cm deep and repaired the plastic pressure pipe that had been repaired about 12 years prior by this same insurance.<br> We paid the R750 excess and were told that contractors would come to lay the bit of cement.<br> Eventually on the 4th April, I phoned through to inquire when the work would be completed.<br> I was told that we now have to pay another R500 excess to get that completed as that was \RESULTANT DAMAGE\".<br> Speaking to Neville, I was told that the R750 covers repairs up to R3000 thereafter we need to pay R500 for extra repairs, a change in the fine print?<br> Firstly , It would not cost R3000 to repair both the pipe as well as lay that bit of cement to complete the work, and secondly there was no further damage caused by the leaking water.<br> Neville stated that he would have to wait for the plumbers invoice first and then contact me regarding completing the work.<br> To date, he has not contacted us, we sitting with this patch of red soil that needs to be cemented.<br> I find the response and attitude of the operators leaves much to be desired."
