G Thompson is very disappointed with the service levels of SBSA Insurance brokers

<p>On the 10th of November we had a major storm in the Pretoria East area at 19h30. The wind proceeded to blow the tiles on my second story of and the rof also lifted. This was a result of poor workmanship by Jerry Nare Construction 3 years earlier as it is a Tuscan style roof and they did not cement the spaces between the roof and the tiles. The roof started leaking after the first heavy rains again and I had more rain damage. i eventually ended up escalating the issue to Standard Bank Insurance Brokers who had to replace Jerry Nare with TJS Maintenace. They did the ceilings and a quick fix on the tiles. Jerry Nare's Team came to paint the roof after that but never filled in the concrete on the second floor between the tiles and the wall. This is the main cause that we damage again after the latest storm where the roof lifted. I had an accessor from TJS Maintenance -Thabo ********** 482 who came to access the damage yesterday. Now that I phone Standard Bank Insurance Brokers they say that the report they received is wear and tear that caused the roof to cave in. This was poor workmanship from the previous contractors as I am the only one in my street that had this type of damage except for my neighbours gate that blew off. I cannot understand how the accessors report says that there was no storm damage as the whole Pretoria East area experienced a severe storm on Thursday evening. Standard Bank says that the claim will most likely be declined based on the report that they received based on the report sent by Thabo from JSL Construction. My claim number is 16/091142. I have been referred to the complaints department just to be informed that I will get feedback between 5-10 working days. In the meantime my makeshift repairs will not hold out against another storm. This will mean more waterdamage. Who in their right mind would cause gradual damage to their own double storey roof? I am terribly disappointed in the service and poor contracting standards that Standard Bank Insurance Brokers employ. Iam even thinking of switching my entire bond to ABSA wher my wif works-very disapponited-Gary and Arlene Thompson ********** 657.</p>
