Funeral Policy

<p>My husband and I joine dthe funeral plan with stdbank in the early 2000's for our family( his and mine). We were both working for Std Bank at the time. We joined for his mom separately for the R4000 pay out, this year January 2016 while we were reviewing our finance status we decided to close one funeral plan. Meaning my husband continued paying for his mom for the payout of R10k. To our surprise in July 2016 the mom passed on and we went to claim and we were told the payout will be R4k beacuse we have 6 days before it matured. that was a big shocker for us as we paid for this insurane for more than 10 years and there's a waiting period as if we just joined the plan. The told us it's 6 days before it gets matured. That was a shocker and a half . This is unaceeptable for someone who has been paying for the policy for so many years and be treated as the first time customer. </p>
