FIRE CLAIM PROLONONGED ONLY TO RECEIVE BAD NEWS

Good day Peter,

Firstly I would like to thank you for this oppurtunity to share my sadden experience.

Begining in January 2017 we had a fire at our house . The day after the fire took place my husband and I contact our Insurance Broker which is Standardbank . Our Insurance cover is for our Home and 2 cars that we have. We then speedily submitted as much information as possible as required from us, after that reports was submitted. Which made the whole process so unbeararble because its five months later and this was the outcome as follow; i firtsly start following up after about 2 months into the claim period .Myself nad my husband phoned in continuisly wantong to know how far our claim is because nobody is contacting us or keep us updated as to the process of the claim.Different reasons was given all the time ,after not getting any concrete answers by telephone I started sending emails which then was answered after days up to more then a week to respond with me also poining in between. I phoned the Thursday before Good Friday as I was told they have finally received the reports and will worked through it.in fact the Lady confirmed that she worked through the one report and advised that i give her until after the specified long weekend and she will contact us. Never happend i started phoning changing after answers for another 2 weeks and did once again a mail which was also answered in prolonged time. Eventually i got to speak to a supervisor and she advised to look into the matter . Finally last week Thursday we wre informed that our house building will be repair where the fire destroyed but that we will be notify in this present week regarding our contents which was in the wooden (not wendy house)structured house in the back yard . Yesterday i received a call just to be told due to certain reasons our claim for the contents was decline and they will not be able compensate us. After all this unpleasant for up `to 5 Months now this is the outcome. Why was this not told to us right at the beginning .I am aware that there is people caliming for ****** washing in an open back yard here our contents was securely stored and was unfortunately lost in the fire all of it what was left was to damaged to make use of. I am very disturbed in my innerbeing not at peace at all as I feel this whole situation and ssistance we received from our Insurance brokers was so unpleasant and unhumanily. i understand that protocol and steps have to take place due to *****elent cases ect but here we are did everything by the book and this is the outcome. I am sorry I Cant except this. Please help us as we would really like to have this mtter resolved the right and proper way. May God`s Will unfold in this matter as He alone knows the thruth of this unpleasant experience.

Thank You for taking time to read my mail.

Regards

Jenene Hendricks

**********
