Dismal Service

My electric geyser began leaking water on Thursday night - 05/05/2016. I phoned the Standard Bank Homeloan Householders Insurance on Friday morning - 06/05 - @ 08:05hours and lodged a claim and asked for assistance. A person named Professor assisted me and said that a plumber would be appointed immediately. He also gave me a reference number; 536612. I was contacted by a company called Benton Bros and informed that they would send out someone at between 18:00 and 18:30hrs. WHAT KIND OF A COMPANY WORKS ON A GEYSER AT NIGHT??????????? I asked the insurance company to please send out someone sooner because the water was leaking at quite a fast rate from the geyser. Standard bank then appointed another company - A B Plumbers. The plumber arrived @ 09:30hrs and assesed that the geyser had burst. He took photographs and submitted them to Std. Bank Insurance @ 10:00hrs. The geyser is apparently under guarantee and therefore the plumber was not authorised to tamper with it. Std Bank then sent me an SMS informing me that the manufacturers of the equipment - W E Geysers had been contacted and that I should contact them for further information. This SMS reached me on Saturday and the manufacturers were closed. I phoned the Std Bank 24 hour Homeassist section yesterday (Sunday)and was told that I had to speak to the manufacturers. Now - I DO NOT PAY INSURANCE TO THE MANUFACTURERS OF THE GEYSER - I PAY THE STANDARD BANK THE PREMIUMS FOR THE INSURANCE. The geyser is leaking water at a rate of approx 100litres per hour and NOBODY seems to care that in these times of water shortages this water is being wasted. The Standard Bank insists that I wait for the manufacturers to attend to the problem which can take a few days (according to the manufacturers). Meanwhile a considerable amount of water is being wasted. The question has to be asked as to WHO IS GOING TO FOOT THE COST OF THE WATER BEING WASTED AT THE END OF THIS MONTH????? The Std Bank doesn't care and neither does the manufacturer of the Geyser. At the time of writing and sending this e-mail, I have still had NO response from either the Std Bank Insurance OR W E Geysers.

PLEASE!!! STD Bank!!! Wake up and help save water!!!!!!

S. Pillay
