Disgusting Service
I contacted Standard Bank insurance in May regarding the process to cancel our building insurance with them. I spoke to Jayd Sambo in the Building insurance department. Our new policy schedule was emailed to Jayd on the 31st of May. I gave my one month's notice, as needed due to our new policy starting on 01 July. Which he said he forwarded to the omins department. I emailed Jayd asking if everything has been received in order to cancel our cover with Standard Bank insurance he rep**** that they will contact me if they need anything further. On Friday the 24th of June I received an email from the omins department stating: We have received a request to cancel the Standard Bank homeowners insurance. In order for us to process this, please refer to the below. This was all the requirements that Jayd discussed with me and that I emailed to Jayd on the 31st of May. I immediately phoned Standard Bank building insurance and spoke to Jayd, who said that he has escalated the matter as he received everything from me on the 31st of May. He added that he would email me to keep me updated. I never received a reply from him on Friday or on Monday. On Monday I phoned the Standard Bank insurance department again and spoke to Tebogo, who said I will receive a reply on 11 July regarding the cancellation, I told her I don't need a reply on the 11th as we cannot have another debit order coming off on the 1st of July as this has been cancelled, she put me on hold and dropped the call. I phoned back and spoke to Sibongile, who I asked to phone me back, which she did and I explained everything to her. She said this will be escalated once she's spoken to Jayd. How can this be such a grueling experience? We cannot be debited on the 1st of July for insurance that was cancelled on the 31st of May. Please can someone respond to my emails or call me as this is really unacceptable.
