Digusting service.

I logged a Home Building insurance claim 23/034057 after my garage door got damaged to the point its now unusable. After returning home and pulling into my garage the door close suddenly without warning onto my vehicle. The door then bends up on the right hand side bending the brackets and Frame and breaking the wheels. As a result of this its now jammed close and unusable and i've has to tie it close. Assessor comes our fairly quickly and i explain to him what transpired. In his assessment he says the reason the door came down was because the cables snapped. Cables are fully intact and onto he right hand side had to be lifted off in order for me to close the door and secure my property.

In calling a very useless call center after 5th attempt with getting cut off 4 times prior...The agent tells me that the claim is declined because of the above and the fact that I didn't knock into the door but that the door knocked into my car its deemed ground for them not cover.

I find this totally unacceptable as in my logical brain it's the same thing. Bottom line is i have a door damaged by accident its not wear and tear nor did as the assessor said the cables snapped.

Standard bank you service is putrid. You don't have us client's best interest at heart. I have a huge risk at my home and you don't care.

I have logged this with complaints and intend to take this further.

I've banked with you since 1998 and i have my homeloans with insurance with you since 2003 and minimal claims (2 is all i can recall).

Thank you for taking my money so freely for so many years and now that you need to step up...you show yourself.

Utterly useless service provider of all the banks in SA.
