Delays and excuses from Std Bank Insurance Claims Dept

We contacted Std Bank Claims on Saturday, 4th March at 12h15 to log a claim for our vehicle. The consultant that answered the phone advised that we cannot log a claim as the department was closed. I told her that I have never ever heard of something like this! She then offered to put me through??? Even thought they were closed, so I told her that it would be pointless.....

In any case, I called again on the Monday and then logged the claim (SHS ********** 2719). We received the sms, but there was no call to have the vehicle towed. I called back the next day, only to be told that the consultant who captured the claim failed to send it through to the Roadside Assistance dept, and she promised to send it through. Still no call...

I called on the Wednesday and I spoke to Nosiswe Molepe, who advised that there was no one that could assist at the Roadside Assistance Department, as they were all out on a conference or meeting, and that they would be out for the day. I was flabbergastered. I told her that I was paying for a service and that I demand assistance. It has nothing to do with the clients if there is a meeting and Standard Bank should make provision for this. She said that she would refer and call me back. Needless to say, she did not call back. I then called that afternoon (Wed, 8 March), and spoke to a lady by the name of Naireze, who, even though was not part of Roadside Asst, tried her utmost to assist. She arranged for the panel contractor and towing service to remove the vehicle by the next day. The ONLY person willing to go the extra mile was NAIREZE. On the 9th March, I called Dals Auto, spoke to Zulpha who advised that she did not get the instruction as yet, but also that they were not doing the towing. I called Naireze again, and she assured me that the AUT Towing will contact me. And they did, and the vehicle was lifted that afternoon and delivered to Dals Auto in Claremont. That was on the 9th, 6 days after the incident. So today, 11 days after the incident, I call Dals Auto, and ask if Std Bank has sent out the assessor as yet, and as predicted, no they did not. So, again I called Std Bank and lo and behold, I get Nozizwe (the first person that failed to call me back)! She refers to Martin Langa, who says he just sent the intruction to the assessors!!!! Dude, its 11 days later!! So I tell Nozizwe, that between Martin and herself, I want a call in the next hour from the assessor to confirm his appointment. I tell her that I am going to log a Hello Peter complaint, but she just tells me to hold on (no attempt to salvage thye situation). She then returns to the phone to say Martin confirms that I will be called. I asked for the assessors number and she provided ********** 840. Of course this number just rings forever until it goes engaged.

Now, while I was on the phone with them, I was registering on SBIB Online Claim Tracking. Once the call was over, I received a call from another lady that aksed if I was assisted? So I asked where she was calling from and she said SBIB? So I told her that I just registered for this online thing, and dont really need assistance, but I am busy logging a hello peter complaint. So she said, oh so you already have a claim and I said yes. Then she said hold on, and put me through to the switchboard!

I worked for SBSA for 13yrs before I left. Never in my life, would I have ever considered giving such service to clients. I am so disappointed. My blood was always blue even after I left, but this experience is putting a bitter taste in my mouth.

I want answers today!!! Word of Mouth is important to every company, and I will definitely not refer anyone to SBIB!!
