Conditional unsecured loan covers

I would to share my worst nightmare experience. This was the first loan I got in my entire working career which has turned out to be a nightmare.I thought that all loans come with automatic cover which is compulsory but in my case what was compulsory was death cover. When I got retrenched in June 2020 due to COVID-19,I made peace with the retrenchment since it was the norm during those days.I was paying my personal loan of R60000 for roughly two years.By the time I got retrenched, it was on R45000 and only to discover that the it was only opted for death cover. My other term loan had automatic retrenchment cover and they covered as it was expected.Upto now,I haven't got work yet, so no income to pay the loan,am I backlisted?Possibly due to non payment since no income.Fast forward now,the R45000 loan debt, is up +100% interest sitting at +R98566.58 and increasing. This was unsecured loans, which should have come with full automatic cover which is non negotiable. But here we are now, still looking for work and not knowing how I will be able to cover that loan and to make matters worse, they reinstated the monthly debit order which bounces every month and my personal account is charged with R147 per returned debit order. How does the bank expect people to come out of such debt when even the personal account is increasing in negative territory by R147 per month, from Jan to Dec.How do I remedy my credit profile which such condition which are digging a bigger debt whole for the unemployed.
