Complain about Standard Bank insurance

At the outset, we sincerely apologize for the lack of service and inconvenience you have experienced during the handling of your claim. This is certainly not the level of service we pride ourselves on and I would like to assure you that we are committed to improving our service delivery.

We have noted the relevant areas where the service breakdowns have occurred and our processes will be reviewed to ensure that these service gaps are addressed. This matter has be escalated to our Supply Chain Management team to ensure that corrective measures are taken and to address the shortcomings of our processes.

We wish to advise that your concerns that were raised regarding the service provider has been escalated to the relevant department. The relevant stakeholders have acknowledged the issues raised and matter will be dealt with in accordance with our internal processes.

In review of your complaint an assessor was appointed, kindly refer to the findings below. Damaged lights and electricity - Amandla Energy was given authorisation to proceed with the repairs. The batteries not damaged by the water, but over time and not due to an insured event. Jerry Nare was authorised to attend to cornices, painting and curtain rails. The contents damages does not form part of the building insurance and will have to claimed from the House contents insurance. Edging between the floor tiles and laminated floors will be attended to by Carpet Boys.

We will therefore proceed to close the complaint on our side in order to make a recommendation to the relevant department accordingly for correction measure purposes.

The above email has been sent to me but I still not agree with the manner in which thry handled my concerns and damaged in my property . 1. Please note that Electricity repairs and lights replacement was completed on Friday the 12th of April 2024 due to the fact that some of the light fittings were out of stock . 2. The Carpenters left the granite tops in the kitchen opened between the side granite tops and the units.Since I waited for them they Neva pitched. However I hereby wish to complain about the following furnishings that are still outstanding :- . 1. Left 1st entrance door scarfed poorly and damaged , not well aligned leaving space for the light to be visible from inside , allowing insects , mosquitos and dust to enter the house . 2. Rubber door and dust stoppers not replaced on all the doors . The builder says he was not given the instruction to replace them ⁠3. Sewer pipe cover poorly done , side boards affected by hot water still not replaced . 4. Carpenter left the granite tops in the kitchen opened between the side granite tops and the units. 5. X 4 Damaged solar batteries due to overheating of the geyser. On the email they sent they alluded that the solar batteries were not damaged by water despite indicating to them that the builders lifted the geyser circuit breaker which was not suppose to be lifted when the system went on and off since we are off the grid . The bank sent the company Red Neo Trading which never even take effort to test the system . They then send 2 guys again who clearly does not know anything about the solar system . I took effort to show the date when the batteries were purchased and provided information to say the life span of the batteries is 8 to 10 years but they were less interested. 6.Legs of the main bedroom image0.jpegimage1.jpeg movable set damaged ( furniture was not handled with care ) B. The contents and furniture of the house that is damaged still not attended to by the supply chain or Dakalo plumbers through their Outsurance insurance as they claimed . 8.Single beds ,linen bed covers, pillows ,Accounting books, laptop are damaged by water.
