Collapsed ceiling

I am utterly disgusted and apauled by the service received from standard bank. On 01/04/2016 I submitted a dispute for the rejection of my claim .( collapsed ceiling) I have since received no communication whatsoever from Standard Bank which is absolutely ridiculous as this is by no means a minor problem to have. Prior to this I also submitted a claim for cracks in my lounge area wall of which I did receive a response for stAting the cracks is not covered by insurance as those cracks are settlement cracks and those are "normal". ( see email attached) However when I submitted the claim for the collapsed ceiling I was told the very same cracks are "poor workmanship" and my collapsed bedroom ceiling is result thereof. This I find to be completely riculous as firstly the cracks as I stated before, I was told is due to "settlement cracks", secondly, now I'm being told that the very same cracks are due to "poor workmanship" and that that's the reason my ceiling collapsed I find this reasoning to be ludacris as the cracks are in my LOUNGE and has nothing to do with my collapsed ceiling in my BEDROOM and the mere fact that there isn't any cracks in my bedroom to begin with.

Now the problem I have with the " poor workmanship" excuse is that when a house is built should they not be approved or singed off by some sort of inspector, should these properties not be deemed suitable to be lived in. How is " poor workmanship" approved by a reputable organisation like Standard Bank or was there corners that was cut. I refuse to believe that Standard bank expects me to accept this.

This is my home, I could understand if the door cracked or my roof blew off but my bedroom ceiling collapsing is unacceptable, and all I'm getting is its due to poor workmanship. What if my 2 year old daughter or 5 month old son was in my bedroom at the time, all standbanbank is going to tell me is I'm sorry it's due to poor workmanship.

This is wrong , and I will not accept this. Standard Bank is a reputable bank and I expect a reassessment ASAP, repair and cover the costs.
