Claim To A Standstill Due to Maternity Leave Do I Have to Wait 4-6 Months ?

I logged a Claim on my insurance due to Cameras and electric fence damaged due to a break in and lightning damage first the assessor said the 1 cameras were not damaged due to lightning I then took them to a Security company which told me the exact opposite. They then asked me to send a report from the security company and they will look into it when I sent the report I got a mail reply that the user was on maternity leave. I then sent another email to the claim centre and I am still waiting for a response.
