Claim not paid wear and tear that they are telling me

I had the baddest experience with standard bank insurance I've submitted a claim for my roof leaking in diffrent places in November and builders came out and assessor came out and checked everything now al of a sudden its wear and tear so now they are not paying for my damages or repairing my roof then why am I paying insurance if they are always looking for ways not to pay out but they are fast to take your premium every month this is real sh*t
