CLAIM FROM APRIL UNRESOLVED TO DATE (STANDARD BANK INSURANCE)

I logged a homeowners claim with STANDARD BANK INSURANCE in April of this year after a lighting storm caused damage to my property. After several mess ups with service providers, almost 50 calls later, and countless emails, I finally get some traction on my claim and some of the work is carried out at my home. The work is left half way and to date I'm sitting with an unpaid claim and work half done. I've emailed STANDARD BANK INSURANCE on numerous occasions, escalated the matter ( Saudah Hendriks) and even waited on the line this morning for over 20 minutes, and yet they do not answer your call. Even TELKOM tells you what caller number you are, but not STANDARD BANK INSURANCE.

I am so appalled at this company. From all the insurance companies that I've dealt with throughout my life STANDARD BANK INSURANCE is by far the most pathetic. They actually do not care about their customers. IF my bond was not with STANDARD BANK there is no way that I would have insurance with this company.

I would like someone from their claims department to actually respond and finalize my claim to an acceptable level. Im certain that the Insurance sector must have an OMBUDS?
