*Breach POPI Act - Inaccuracies on Short-term policies* Failure to amend and update correctly. For 3 years now Standard Bank Car insurance have failed to update my address so that it reflects correctly on my schedule. They did change the risk address but my schedule is still addressed to an address I resided in 3 years ago. To add to this 3 years of trying to change this, nothing but for some reason my details and policy is also attached to an address I have never resided at nor have I ever known anyone to reside at the address, still they refuse to remove and update my details. I was graciously given the details of this other address unknown to me (in detail) house number, street address, area - exact address, the person(s) residing at this address have no idea that they are linked to my policy, again another perfect example of violation of the POPI act. It is impossible to get your details and information properly updated by STD Bank Insurance, and apparently the Insurance Brokers that signed up the policy are even more impossible to locate. Std Bank on a whole just pass the buck overall even if it is a division that fall under their umbrella. Be aware signing up with short term insurance with Standard Bank.
