Avoid Standard Bank Insurance!

I’ve been insured with Standard Bank Insurance since March 2018, but their handling of our recent claim for rain damage to our house experienced on 13 March has been appalling. The service has been terrible- requiring constant follow-ups just to get updates. The loss adjuster was unprofessional, displaying a poor attitude and hinting at rejection before even completing his assessment and his report. When we provided documented proof of regular home maintenance, he dismissed it, saying, ‘that won’t be necessary.’ I’m fighting this claim rejection. I strongly advise against choosing this insurer - consider yourself warned!
