APPAULING
We experienced a burst waterpipe on 14 December 2022.
Claim number 22/211557 was registered. Our first claim since 2015!
To date Mould is growing on the ceiling, floorboards, lights and cupboards damaged due to water.
Numerous phone calls made, even promised to escalate the matter. To date no feedback has been received.
APPAULING!

02 May 2023, 10:36Good day.
Thank you for attending to the matter. I was phoned within a few hours of the above reply and various builders assigned.
To my shock I then received a phone call to inform me my claim has been declined! What how? It is apparently not a burst pipe as I stated at 3am in the morning but a failed fitting connecting the pipe. I would presume a novice, like myself, that water gushing from a pipe could be considered a burst pipe.
The plumber appointed fixed the pipe early the next morning, phoned their claims department who spoke to Standard Bank claims and according to said Regie the claim was valid.
So my question, what changed in the interim? My previous post, because shortly after my claim was declined.
I received the rejection letter and appealed the outcome on 10/01/2023 at 12:05 to *** and *** with supporting evidence from the plumbers who spoke to said Regie from Standard Bank claims.
Numerous attempts to make contact (***, ***, ***, ***, *** and ***) on 06/02, 15/02, 22/02 and 25/04 with no feedback!
Again, APPAULING!
