Apauling service - reward for 50+ years loyalty to Standard Bank

I read reviews posted by numerous people. Comforting to note that others too are having much the same problems as I am. Not so comforting to see some outstanding for 6 months! After I submitted my claim I received a paragraph (yes, one paragraph with no letterhead, no contact person, just a claim number and an AOL number). This claim was submitted 9 Feb 2018. I sent 4 emails thereafter and to date have had no response. Roof sheets were pulled loose from the purloins. On 10 Feb I received a call from a rather abrupt gentleman at 7.30 a.m. (not an acceptable time for a business call?) to advise me that the roof was old and the claim was been denied. The roof was 1 and a half years older than when SIL started deducting premiums from our bank account... On 10 April 2018 a tornado-type wind swept through our property, uprooting 3 very large trees one of which broke our perimeter wall, blocking the road. Ekurhuleni Parks Dept were advised 15 minutes later that the tree was a hazard to traffic. To date nothing has been heard from EMM. Our security was severely compromised by a 3 metre gap in our perimeter wall. Our three dogs, two of whom are large shepherds, had to be kept inside the house. I phoned the call centre on my cellphone and after a 31 minute wait listening to Standard bank advertising, finally spoke to a consultant who would consult an assessor. The assessor duly arrived, walked around and left me with his cellphone number. When I spoke to him the next day, he informed me that he had submitted a report, he didn't work in the office and effectively his job was done! This was 12 April. Today, 24 April I have still had no response from "the office". I have had the hazardous trees removed at a cost of R15 100.00. (Assessor advised insurers pay R2 500 per incident for removal of trees). I have had the perimeter wall replaced at a cost of R3 500.00. Subsequent to the above, the geyser developed a leak and needed replacing. MY plumber cannot definitively state that the leak was caused by a build up of pressure due to the voltaic panel being blown off the roof into the garden causing the failure of the pump and consequent build up of pressure. A new claim had to be lodged with an additional R750.00 excess as well as a payment for a standard 200 litre electric geyser. My solar geyser plumber's quote was reduced to SIL electrical standard rate. After 50+ years of loyalty to Standard Bank, even though I am aware that Standard Bank charges are the highest in the country, is this lack of service our reward???
